Meet
Dr. Richard Beck
Dr. Richard Beck did his undergraduate work at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He then went to Colorado State University in Fort Collins and got his DVM degree in 1971. Moving to Monument, Colorado he set up an ambulatory large animal and house call small animal practice and started work on the Front Range Animal Hospital building, completing the original building at the end of 1972.
Dr. Beck practiced mixed animal medicine until the mid 1980’s, by which time the demographics of the area had changed to a point that a change to small animal only was made. In this time period Dr. Woestehoff came to work at the Front Range Animal Hospital and in a few years became a full partner in the practice. The office has continued to grow to the present staff of about 17 people including 4 more doctors and support staff. The building was remodeled in 2003 to include 2 more exam rooms and a larger waiting room. Dr. Beck retired from active practice in 2004, but still enjoys helping run the practice and doing orthopedic surgery when needed.
