Dr. Kristin Woestehoff was 5 when she decided to be a veterinarian. She spent her childhood as a Jr. Zoologist at the Cincinnati Zoo, hand-raising orphaned wild animals, and volunteering at veterinary practices. At 16, she fell in love with Colorado, so when she graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983, she moved to Colorado to practice as a small animal veterinarian and life has been perfect ever since!
In 1987, after an emergency hospital position, she joined Front Range Animal Hospital. Dr. Woestehoff loves all aspects of veterinary practice, especially internal medicine, dermatology, geriatrics, critical care and emergency medicine. Give her a pet with a "diagnostic challenge" or multiple health problems to juggle and she’s happy as a clam! She loves keeping senior pets feeling their best. She’s also experienced in preparing pets for International travel and enjoys client education. In addition to seeing patients at Front Range Animal Hospital, Dr. Woestehoff is serving a 4 year term on the Colorado State Board of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Woestehoff spends her free time with her two Vizslas, Loki and Buffy, and her husband, Keith. After 30 years of beloved cats, she is currently “between kitties”. Her recent adventure is Dog Agility. Her older dog, Buffy, started competing at the age of 9 and has earned 15 agility titles and a National Championship in just one competition season. Loki, her youngster, is in training. Dr. Woestehoff also has two grown children.
